The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer keys along with question papers and recorded responses for the Joint CSIR–UGC NET December 2025 examination. The Joint CSIR–UGC NET December 2025 examination was conducted on December 18, 2025, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across India for over 2.12 lakh candidates. The release of the provisional answer key marks a crucial post-exam stage before the declaration of final results.

- Answer Key Challenge Window: December 30, 2025 to January 1, 2026

- Last Date for Objection Fee Payment: January 1, 2026 (up to 11:00 PM)
Candidates must ensure that both submission and payment are completed before the deadline, as late challenges will not be accepted.

Candidates can access the provisional answer key, question paper, and their recorded responses only through the official website:

- Password or Date of Birth
- Security Pin (Captcha)
No answer key will be sent by post or email.
How to Challenge CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Answer Key
NTA has released a detailed step-by-step procedure (Annexure-I) for raising objections. Candidates must follow the official process strictly.
Step 1: Visit Official Website
Go to csirnet.nta.nic.in and click on “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”.
Step 2: Login to Candidate Dashboard
Enter your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin, then submit.
Step 3: View Question Paper and Responses
Click on “View Question Paper” to check:
- Question IDs
- Options selected by you
- Provisional correct answers
Candidates are advised to carefully match Question IDs, as they may not appear in sequential order.
Step 4: Select Questions to Challenge
If dissatisfied with the provisional answer, select one or more alternative Option IDs for the respective Question ID.
Step 5: Upload Supporting Documents
Upload academic proof or references:
- All documents must be merged into one single PDF file
- Upload using the “Choose File” option
Step 6: Review and Finalise Claims
Click “Submit and Review Claims”.
Candidates may either modify their claims or proceed with Final Submit.
Step 7: Pay Objection Fee
Pay ₹200 per question as a non-refundable processing fee using:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Net Banking
- UPI
Step 8: Confirmation of Submission
Claims are saved only after successful payment. Without payment, challenges will not be considered.

If a question is found to be incorrect or if more than one option is correct, the benefit of marks will be given to all eligible candidates who attempted that question.

After January 1, 2026:
- All objections will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts
- If a challenge is accepted, the answer key will be revised
- Revised answers will apply to all candidates
- No individual communication will be sent regarding acceptance or rejection
- The final answer key published after expert review will be binding
- Results will be prepared strictly on the basis of the final answer key
