NCET 2026 Registration Begins for 4-Year ITEP; Apply Online at exams.nta.nic.in
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially invited online applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026–27. The entrance examination is conducted on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The online registration process started on February 12, 2026, and candidates can submit their application forms till March 10, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). The last date for successful fee payment is March 11, 2026 (11:50 PM).
What is NCET 2026?
NCET is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) offered by selected Central and State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges.
The ITEP is a dual major programme, which includes:
- Major in Education with school-stage specialization
- Major in a chosen discipline
The programme aims to strengthen teacher education and align with national educational reforms.

NCET 2026 Exam Mode
The NCET 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various examination centres in India. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, providing flexibility to candidates from different regions.
Qualified candidates will participate in the counselling and admission process conducted by participating institutions recognized by NCTE.

NTA will provide a correction window from March 12 to March 14, 2026, allowing candidates to edit certain details in their application form. After this period, no corrections will be permitted.
