CUET PG 2026 Exam Schedule Released NTA Announces March 6 to March 27 Examination Window
The National Testing Agency has officially announced the examination schedule for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate CUET PG 2026. The national level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate programmes will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode from March 6 to March 27 2026 at multiple examination centres across India.
The release of the detailed timetable marks the beginning of the final preparation phase for lakhs of aspirants seeking admission into master’s degree courses in central state deemed and participating universities.
CUET PG 2026 to Be Conducted in Three Daily Shifts
As per the official notification the examination will be conducted in three shifts per day with each paper having a duration of 90 minutes.
Shift 1 Morning Session
9.00 AM to 10.30 AM
Shift 2 Afternoon Session
12.30 PM to 2.00 PM
Shift 3 Evening Session
4.00 PM to 5.30 PM
The examination will span 44 shifts in total to accommodate the wide range of subjects and the large number of registered candidates.
CUET PG 2026 to Cover 157 Subjects
CUET PG 2026 will be conducted for 157 subjects, making it one of the largest postgraduate entrance examinations in the country. This year the test will cater to over 4.11 lakh unique registered candidates, highlighting the growing importance of CUET as a single window admission system for higher education.
The exam serves as a gateway for admission into programmes such as MA MSc MCom MBA LLM MTech and other postgraduate professional courses offered by participating institutions nationwide.
Medium of Question Papers and Subject Specific Formats
The National Testing Agency has clarified the language format of the question papers for different categories of subjects.
All general test papers will be bilingual available in English and Hindi.
A total of 41 language papers will follow their respective language format.
MTech and Higher Science papers will be available only in English medium.
Acharya papers will be conducted exclusively in Sanskrit except Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshana which will be offered in Hindi Sanskrit and English.
The Hindu Studies paper will be available in Hindi and English.

City Intimation Slip to Be Released Before Exam
According to the official schedule the CUET PG 2026 city intimation slip will be released approximately 10 days before the commencement of the examination. This advance information allows candidates to know their allotted exam city and plan travel arrangements accordingly.
The city slip will be made available online and candidates must download it from the official CUET PG portal.
