CUET PG 2026 Exam Schedule Announced Check Dates Shift Timings and Important Updates
The National Testing Agency has released the official examination schedule for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate CUET PG 2026. The entrance test for admission into postgraduate programmes across participating universities will be conducted from March 6 to March 27 2026 in Computer Based Test mode.
Candidates preparing for admission into MA MSc MCom MBA LLM MTech and other postgraduate courses can now check their subject wise exam dates and begin final stage revision accordingly.
Examination to Be Held in Three Shifts Daily
CUET PG 2026 will be conducted in three shifts each day to accommodate the large number of subjects and candidates appearing for the test.
Morning Shift
9 AM to 10.30 AM
Afternoon Shift
12.30 PM to 2 PM
Evening Shift
4 PM to 5.30 PM
Each paper will be of 90 minutes duration. The exam will be conducted across multiple days and shifts ensuring smooth management of candidates nationwide.
CUET PG 2026 to Cover 157 Subjects
This year CUET PG will be conducted for 157 subjects across disciplines including Science Humanities Commerce Languages MTech and Acharya programmes. More than four lakh candidates have registered for the examination making it one of the largest postgraduate entrance tests in India.
The exam serves as a single window opportunity for admission into central state private and deemed universities thereby reducing the need to appear in multiple entrance exams.
Medium of Question Papers
NTA has clarified the language format for different subject categories.
Most papers will be bilingual in English and Hindi
Language papers will be conducted in the respective language
MTech and Higher Science papers will be available only in English
Acharya papers will be conducted in Sanskrit except select subjects offered in Hindi Sanskrit and English
This ensures academic accuracy while maintaining accessibility for candidates.
City Intimation Slip and Admit Card Updates
The city intimation slip is expected to be released around 10 days before the examination begins. This slip will inform candidates about the city allotted for their exam centre allowing them to plan travel in advance.
Admit cards will be issued separately a few days before the respective exam date. Candidates must download and print the admit card and carry valid identification to the examination centre.
