UGC NET 2025 Exam-Day Guidelines Issued: Check Documents to Carry, Prohibited Items, City Slip Link

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued important exam-day instructions for UGC NET December 2025, advising candidates to strictly follow the guidelines while appearing for the examination. The instructions cover mandatory documents to carry, items allowed and prohibited inside the exam centre, and details regarding the advance city intimation slip.
Candidates are reminded that failure to comply with these instructions may lead to disqualification on the exam day.
UGC NET 2025: Mandatory Documents to Carry
Candidates appearing for the UGC NET December 2025 exam must carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Printed UGC NET Admit Card 2025 (along with self-declaration, if applicable)
- One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form)
- One original authorised photo ID, such as:
- Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
- PAN Card
- Driving Licence
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Aadhaar Enrolment Number
- Ration Card
- PwD certificate, if applicable
Candidates must appear only at the exam centre mentioned on the admit card and only on the allotted date, shift, and time.
Items Allowed Inside the Exam Centre
As per NTA guidelines, candidates are allowed to carry only the following items:
- One ball point pen
- Extra passport-sized photograph
- Personal hand sanitiser (transparent bottle)
- Transparent water bottle
Items Strictly Prohibited
The following items are not allowed inside the examination hall:
- Mobile phones
- Calculators
- Smart watches or any electronic gadgets
- Bags, books, notes, or study material
- Any eatables or water (except transparent bottle)
Candidates are also advised to wear a face mask as instructed.

The NTA has already released the UGC NET December 2025 advance city intimation slip for all exam dates. The city slip helps candidates know their exam city in advance for travel planning.
