Aspirants Must Update Aadhaar, Disability and Category Documents to Avoid Rejection
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important Public Notice dated 04 December 2025 issuing an advisory and instructions for CUET (UG) 2026 aspirants regarding the updation of Aadhaar Card, Disability Certificate / UDID Card, and Category Certificate before filling the online application form.
As per the notice, the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)]–2026 will be conducted in May 2026, and the online application form will be made available on the official NTA CUET website cuet.nta.nic.in.
CUET UG 2026 Application to Be Conducted by NTA
The National Testing Agency will conduct CUET (UG) 2026 for admission to undergraduate programmes in Central Universities and other participating institutions across India.
To ensure a smooth application process and to avoid discrepancies or rejection at later stages, NTA has strongly advised candidates to update and verify their personal and category-related documents well in advance.
Documents That Must Be Updated Before CUET UG 2026 Application
NTA has listed the following documents that must be valid, updated, and accurate before filling the CUET (UG) 2026 application form:
Aadhaar Card Update Instructions
- Aadhaar card must contain:
- Correct name
- Correct date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate)
- Latest photograph
- Correct address
- Correct father’s name
Any mismatch between Aadhaar details and academic records may lead to issues during verification.
UDID / Disability Certificate (For PwD Candidates)
- Candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must ensure:
- UDID Card / Disability Certificate is valid
- Certificate is updated and renewed, if required
Category Certificate (EWS / SC / ST / OBC-NCL)
- Category certificate must be:
- Valid
- Updated
- Issued as per the latest Government of India norms
Candidates must ensure that category certificates are not expired at the time of application and admission.
