Detailed Break-up of Questions for B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, MFM, M.F.Tech and NLEA Programmes

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released Annexure-2 of the NIFTEE 2026 Information Bulletin, detailing the subject-wise distribution of questions for each programme appearing in the Stage-1 Entrance Examination.

The distribution clearly explains how questions are divided across General Ability Test (GAT) sections and the Creative Ability Test (CAT) for different Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Lateral Entry programmes of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).


Understanding GAT Sections in NIFTEE 2026

The General Ability Test (GAT) is divided into two main sections:

Section A (Common Core Areas)

  • Communication Ability & English Comprehension
  • Quantitative Ability
  • Analytical & Logical Ability
  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs

Section B (Programme-Specific Areas)

  • Quantitative Ability (Section B)
  • Analytical & Logical Ability (Section B)
  • Case Study (Section B)

The Creative Ability Test (CAT) is conducted in Paper Based Test (PBT) mode wherever applicable.

Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
