The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the CUET UG 2026 application correction window, giving registered candidates a one-time opportunity to rectify mistakes in their submitted forms. As per the latest public notice dated February 09, 2026, candidates can edit permissible details on the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in till February 11, 2026 (11:50 PM).
This correction facility is extremely important because no further changes will be allowed after the deadline, and the application form will be permanently frozen once corrections are submitted.

Only candidates who successfully registered and paid the CUET UG 2026 application fee are eligible to use this facility.
CUET UG 2026: Non-Editable Details
According to Annexure-1 released by NTA, candidates cannot change the following details under any circumstances:
- Registered Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Permanent Address
- Present/Correspondence Address
- Emergency Contact Details
- Photograph of the Candidate
These details were locked at the registration stage and will be used for all future communication related to CUET UG 2026.
CUET UG 2026: Limited Editable Identity Details
Candidates are allowed to change only one of the following fields:
- Candidate’s Name OR
- Father’s Name OR
- Mother’s Name
Only a single correction is permitted among these three fields, so candidates must review and choose carefully before submitting changes.
CUET UG 2026: Editable Academic Information
NTA has allowed candidates to edit all academic qualification details, including:
- Class 10 or equivalent details
- Class 12 or equivalent details
Applicants should ensure that the corrected academic information matches their official certificates, as discrepancies may lead to problems during counselling and document verification.
CUET UG 2026: Exam City and Medium Change
Candidates can also modify their:
- Examination City Preferences
- Medium of Examination
However, NTA has clarified that exam city allotment depends on availability, and the agency is not bound to allot the city as per candidate preference. Candidates who earlier selected Delhi may now choose Delhi/NCR.
CUET UG 2026: Personal Details Allowed for Correction
The following personal details can be fully edited during the correction window:
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category / PwD / PwBD (if not verified by UDID)
- Signature
Candidates claiming reservation benefits must ensure that category details are accurate, as they will be strictly verified during the admission process.
CUET UG 2026: Subject Combination Editing
One of the most important features of the correction window is subject modification. Candidates can:
- Add subjects
- Edit or delete selected subjects
- Modify subject combinations
Editable subject sections include:
- Domain Subjects
- Languages
- General Aptitude Test (GAT)
The maximum limit of five subjects (including languages and GAT) remains unchanged. If candidates add new subjects, additional application fees will be charged, and excess payment will not be refunded.
Aadhaar and Identity Correction
Candidates who registered using an identity proof other than Aadhaar are allowed to update their Aadhaar details, if applicable.
