The NEET UG 2026 exam pattern has been officially released by the National Testing Agency. Candidates preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test must clearly understand the exam pattern to plan their preparation strategy effectively. The NEET UG exam is the only national-level entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS BDS AYUSH and other allied medical programs across India.

The NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates will receive a physical question paper and OMR answer sheet at the exam centre.

Exam duration – Three hours

Candidates must manage their time efficiently as all 180 questions have to be attempted within the given duration.

Type of Questions in NEET UG 2026

The NEET UG 2026 exam will consist entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question will have four answer options out of which only one will be correct.

Biology carries 50 percent of the total marks, making it the most important subject for candidates targeting high scores.

Language Options in NEET UG 2026

The NEET UG question paper will be available in 13 languages, allowing candidates to choose their preferred medium.

The NEET UG 2026 syllabus has been finalised by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board under the National Medical Commission. There is no change in the syllabus compared to last year. All chapters from Physics Chemistry and Biology of Class 11 and 12 remain the same.
