The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially activated the CUET UG 2026 application correction window along with a detailed Annexure-1, clearly outlining which details candidates can edit and which fields are locked permanently. This one-time correction facility is available on the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in from February 09 to February 11, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).

Candidates who successfully registered and paid the application fee for Common University Entrance Test (UG) 2026 must use this limited window carefully, as no further opportunity will be provided once corrections are submitted.

CUET UG 2026 Correction Window: Important Dates

  • Correction Window Opens: February 09, 2026
  • Last Date to Edit CUET Form: February 11, 2026 (11:50 PM)

NTA has clearly stated that the correction facility is a one-time measure and the application form will be frozen permanently after final submission.

CUET UG 2026: Non-Editable Fields (Cannot Be Changed)

As per Annexure-1, candidates will NOT be allowed to edit the following details under any circumstances:

  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
  • Permanent Address
  • Present / Correspondence Address
  • Emergency Contact Details
  • Photograph of the Candidate

These fields were locked at the time of registration, and all future communication from NTA will continue on the same registered contact details.

CUET UG 2026: Fields Where Limited Correction Is Allowed

Identity Details (Only One Change Allowed)

Candidates may change any one of the following fields:

  • Candidate’s Name OR
  • Father’s Name OR
  • Mother’s Name

Only one option can be edited, so candidates must choose carefully.

CUET UG 2026: Fully Editable Academic Details

NTA has allowed candidates to modify all academic information, if required:

  • Class 10 / Equivalent Details
  • Class 12 / Equivalent Details

Candidates must ensure that academic details exactly match their official certificates, as these will be verified during the admission process.

CUET UG 2026: Exam City and Medium Correction

Candidates can update the following exam-related preferences:

  • Examination City Selection
  • Medium of Examination

Important Note:
NTA is not bound to allot an exam city strictly as per candidate preference. Allocation will depend on availability. Candidates who earlier selected Delhi may now choose Delhi/NCR.

CUET UG 2026: Editable Personal Details

The following personal details can be corrected fully:

  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Sub-category / PwD / PwBD (if not verified by UDID)
  • Signature

Candidates claiming reservation benefits must ensure accuracy, as category details will be strictly verified during counselling.

CUET UG 2026: Subject Combination Correction

One of the most important features of the correction window is subject editing.

Candidates are allowed to:

  • Add subjects
  • Edit subjects
  • Modify subject combinations

Editable subject fields include:

  • Domain Subjects
  • Languages
  • General Aptitude Test (GAT)

⚠️ The maximum limit remains five subjects, including languages and GAT.
If candidates add new subjects, additional application fees will apply, and excess payment will not be refunded.

Aadhaar & Identity Correction

Candidates who registered using an identity proof other than Aadhaar are allowed to update:

  • Aadhaar Details (if Aadhaar was not used earlier)

  • Additional fees must be paid if changes affect the fee amount
  • No refund will be issued for excess payment
