Correction Window for CUET (PG) 2026 Opens: NTA Allows One-Time Edit in Application Form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the Correction Window for CUET (PG) 2026, giving registered candidates a final opportunity to rectify mistakes in their online application forms. This facility has been announced through an official public notice dated 28 January 2026, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The correction window is meant for candidates who have already completed their CUET PG 2026 registration and paid the application fee. Since CUET PG is conducted for admission to postgraduate programmes in Central Universities and other participating institutions across India, accurate application details are extremely important.

CUET PG 2026 Correction Window: Dates and Official Link

As per the notification, candidates can make corrections in their application forms within the following timeline:

  • Correction Window Start: 28 January 2026 (10:00 AM)
  • Last Date: 30 January 2026 (Up to 11:50 PM)

NTA has clearly stated that no correction requests will be entertained after the deadline, under any circumstances.

Fields That Cannot Be Changed

According to the official guidelines, candidates will not be allowed to make changes in the following fields:

  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
  • Permanent Address
  • Present Address
  • Photograph upload
  • Signature upload

These details remain permanently locked once the application is submitted.

Editable Fields During the Correction Window

NTA has allowed candidates to correct several important details to avoid issues during result processing or admission counselling.

Personal Details

Candidates can modify only one of the following:

  • Candidate Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name

Examination City

Candidates can update their examination city preferences. However, NTA has clarified that the final allotment of the exam city depends on availability and administrative feasibility, and it is not mandatory to allot the city chosen by the candidate.

Other Allowed Corrections

Candidates may also edit:

  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Sub-category / PwBD
  • Test Paper Code

Candidates who registered using an identity proof other than Aadhaar are also allowed to update their Aadhaar details.

Subject, Test Paper and Fee Rules

The option to edit Subject, Test, Programme, or Course will remain available till the correction window closes. If any correction leads to an increase in application fee, the candidate must pay the additional amount online.

NTA has clarified that no refund will be issued if a candidate reduces the number of test papers.

One-Time Facility: Important Advisory

This correction window is a one-time facility only. Once the corrected form is submitted, it will be frozen, and no further changes will be allowed. Candidates are advised to verify all details carefully before final submission.
