The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Important Instructions for CUET (PG) 2026, outlining the complete online application process, eligibility compliance, document upload norms, fee payment rules, and general instructions for candidates. Aspirants planning to appear for CUET PG 2026 must carefully read and follow these instructions to avoid rejection of their application.

CUET PG 2026 Application Mode and Basic Guidelines

The CUET (PG) 2026 application process will be conducted only in online mode. Any application submitted through offline or other modes will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Candidates must strictly adhere to the instructions mentioned in the Information Bulletin available on the official NTA website. Failure to comply with the prescribed guidelines may result in immediate disqualification.

One Application Rule for CUET PG 2026

Candidates are advised to submit only one application form.

  • A single mobile number and email ID can be used for only one application
  • All communication from NTA will be sent to the registered email and mobile number

Incorrect or inaccessible contact details may lead to missing important updates, for which NTA will not be responsible.

CUET PG 2026: Number of Test Papers and Fee Rules

An applicant may apply for up to four test papers.

  • Application fee will be calculated based on the number of subjects selected
  • Additional fees will be charged for extra subjects

Test Centres Outside India

Candidates opting for exam centres outside India must pay:

  • Rs 7000 for up to two test papers, irrespective of category
  • Additional charges apply for two more papers

Step-by-Step CUET PG 2026 Online Application Process

Step 1: Registration

Candidates must complete the online registration by entering personal details and creating a password.
After successful registration, a system-generated Application Number will be issued, which must be preserved for all future logins and correspondence.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

Using the application number and password, candidates must:

  • Fill personal and educational details
  • Select test paper(s)
  • Choose examination cities
  • Upload photograph, signature, and PwD certificate (if applicable)

Photograph and Signature Upload Guidelines

Candidates must strictly follow the upload specifications:

Photograph

  • Recent photograph with 80% face visibility, without mask
  • White background
  • JPG/JPEG format
  • File size between 10 KB to 200 KB

Signature

  • JPG/JPEG format
  • File size between 10 KB to 50 KB

PwD / UDID Certificate

  • PDF format
  • File size between 50 KB to 300 KB

Uploading blurred or incorrect images may lead to rejection of the application with no correction allowed.

Unfair Means Warning by NTA

If a candidate is found using someone else’s photograph or signature or tampering with documents at any stage, it will be treated as Unfair Means Practice (UFM), leading to strict action as per the Information Bulletin.

Step 3: CUET PG 2026 Fee Payment

After completing Steps 1 and 2, candidates must pay the examination fee online using:

  • Net Banking
  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • UPI

Processing charges and GST, as applicable, will be borne by the candidate.

The Confirmation Page will be generated only after successful payment. Candidates must download and keep a printed copy for future reference.

General Instructions for CUET PG 2026 Candidates

  • Application is considered complete only after successful fee payment
  • All information entered will be treated as final
  • No changes will be allowed after the correction window
  • Exam city choice will be limited to the State/UT of Permanent or Present Address
  • NTA will not modify or correct any details after submission

  • Incomplete applications without fee payment will be rejected
  • Entire process is online; no documents should be sent by post, email, or WhatsApp
  • PwD details will be verified through the UDID portal

Use of Candidate Data by NTA

NTA and the Government of India may use candidate data for internal purposes such as research and analysis. However, the data will not be shared with private agencies or third parties.
