The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programmes across India. NEET is a mandatory entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses including BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, and other allied medical programmes offered by government and private institutions.

The exam is expected to be held in May 2026, in offline mode, at various exam centres across the country. Candidates who qualify NEET become eligible to participate in All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by MCC, and respective State Quota counselling conducted by state authorities.

NEET 2026 Exam Pattern

The NEET UG exam comprises objective, multiple-choice questions from three subjects based on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology (Botany & Zoology)

The exam will be conducted using an OMR sheet in offline mode.
